Nat “Suicide” Faronea

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our Vice President, our Brother Nat Faronea, “NK Suicide”. Suicide lost his battle with COVID-19 and other ailments on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

Suicide joined the Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club, Tri-Base Chapter in September 2016. Something that he always wanted to do.

He served as the Chapter’s 1st Sgt. at Arms before being elected to the position of Vice President, a position he took much pride in and to heart.

Suicide was always up to go for a ride, regardless how far, attend events and donate to help those in need, and party with his Brothers. He always looked forward to Washington DC every May, hosting his annual Club BBQ at his home in the summer, and going to Florida for Daytona Bike Week and Biketoberfest.

Earlier in his life, Suicide served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy in 1960 (he spent two years at sea on the USS Randolph CVS-15 which was an aircraft carrier), served his community as a Belmar and Tom’s River fireman, was a member of the Belmar First Aid Squad, and went on to retire in 2010 from the Ocean County Sherriff’s Department. He was also a member of the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey.

He will be missed by everyone who knew him. We will cherish every memory that we made with him over the past six years.

Nat was interned at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery on Monday, November 23, 2021. He is located in Section ZC 4512.

Suicide was memorialized in the Eternal Chapter in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

We will see each other again in Valhalla.

We love you Brother. You were one of a kind.

Ride in paradise.

Natale (Nat) Joseph Faronea Jr. 75, passed away on October 13, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Nat was born on October 26, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Belleville and Lakewood before settling in Toms River. He was proud of his Italian American heritage. Nat originally worked as a printer but decided on a career in law enforcement working for the Monmouth County Jail and then retiring from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department as a Sheriff’s Officer.

Nat was a patriot and veteran and served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. Veteran issues were very close to his heart, he was a former member of Rolling Thunder N.J. 2 and currently he was the Vice President of Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club Tri Base Chapter, a position he was very proud of. To his friends he was known as “Suicide”. Nat was also very civic minded. He was a Life Member of Toms River Fire Company #2 and a member of the America Legion Post 129 as well as the Italian American Police Society Club of New Jersey and a past member of the Blue Knights Chapter 15. Nat enjoyed going hunting with friends and loved being in the woods and close to nature.

But Nat’s favorite past time was getting wind therapy while riding his Harley and enjoyed it more when his wife Doris would be his copilot. He was the happiest when he was on two wheels and three wheels, and any chance he got he was on the bike. Nat was a quiet man, but when he had something to say, people listened.

He will be sorely missed by family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Natale Sr. and Bridget Faronea and his son Brian Faronea. He is survived by his loving wife Doris, his service dog and buddy Tanner, his sons Natale III Faronea (Laura), Frank Faronea (Maryanne), Anthony Faronea, and his daughter Jennifer Faronea. He is also survived by his sister Josephine Galioto (Michael), brother Santo Faronea (Patricia) and John Faronea (Linda), stepchildren Chris Apgar (Jen) Daniel Apgar (Jenna), Melissa Burlew (Matt) David Jones (Sandy) and Chris Jones along with 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent in memory of Nat Faronea to Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club Tri Base Chapter 39 Fort Dix Road Pemberton, N.J. 08068.
